The Grand Forks Horticultural Society invites you to a full day of gardening delights.
We will be starting from the K-Mart parking lot in Grand Forks, ND at 8 am.
It is highly suggested to NOT wear flip flops or sandals for walking at Honker Flats.

First Stop: Honker Flats Greenhouse

It is known for their Designer Glads, Chickens and other unique animals. Even P.Allen Smith orders chickens from their diverse flock! We will be treated to a homemade lunch and all the bells and whistles!

CELEBRATING 42 YEARS OF BUSINESS! Annual and vegetable bedding plants, a whole new offering of perennials, potted trees, shrubs, and fruits. They have all the favorite standbys along with cutting edge creations in horticulture. Look for plants you don’t find anywhere else. www.honkerflats.com

The old-fashioned charm of a country store with a everything you can think of.

Third Stop: Pennington County Twilight Garden Tour
Thief River Falls, MN
4-8 pm, 4 gardens to tour

The raingardens, installed in 2014, now provide just over three acre-feet of water storage capacity.

Fourth Stop: Quick Supper
Thief River Falls, MN
Pick from Arby’s, Subway, Taco Johns, South China Buffet or Buca’s Pizzera.

$46 includes bus ride, lunch and garden tour ticket (does not include supper).

GFHS Garden Tour, Peony Show & Plant Sale: June 18 – June 19

We are excited to announce our Garden Tour this year. We have exceptional gardens with a wide variety garden styles for everyone!

Here are some highlights:
1) Large, fully landscaped yard with popsicle trees.
2) Rural with unique planters, vegetable garden & lots of trees.
3) Whimsical with unexpected surprises.
4) A fun kid’s garden, vines and more.
5) A beautiful Japanese garden.
6) Unusual weeping trees with garden rooms.
7) 120 varieties of peonies
8) Heritage garden with a pond.

In searching out the gardens we already learned a lot from the gardeners and were amazed at these hidden gems in Grand Forks.

Come out and enjoy the gardens and stop at the Myra Museum for the plant sale, vendors and the peony show.
